Our RFN micro-needling laser is an innovative procedure combining micro-needling with radio frequency laser energy that takes skin rejuvenation to the next level! Radio frequency micro-needling tightens skin, decreases creepiness, shrinks enlarged pores, and rids the complexion of discoloration, age spots as well as melasma. Fine lines and wrinkles are diminished. It does a beautiful job of improving upper and lower eyelid droopiness and creepiness.
RF micro-needling adds the element of radio frequency energy to the traditional micro-needling procedure. The RF energy is delivered via tiny gold-plated needles. In addition to the benefits provided by the microneedles, RF micro-needling also delivers radio frequency laser energy deep into the dermis (skin), further enhancing skin tightening and scar reduction. The RF energy heats the underlying skin layers, causing constriction and tightening of the skin, as well as the stimulation of collagen and elastin production. Because the RF energy is delivered so deeply, it can produce faster, more dramatic results than micro-needling or other light-based lasers without aggravating the topical skin layer, resulting very little to no downtime!
RF micro-needling is appropriate for nearly any skin type and tone. The procedure addresses the following issues:
Most patients will achieve full results with 2-3 treatment sessions, spaced about four weeks apart. The number of treatments will depend on how well the patient responds to the treatment and the severity of the skin issues to be addressed.
RF micro-needling can offer similar results to ablative laser procedures but with significantly less discomfort and downtime. A topical anesthetic is applied prior to treatment to ensure patient comfort throughout the procedure. The treatment usually takes one hour, depending on the size of the area that is being treated.
Skin is typically red for the first day or two after treatment, but the redness is typically mild and much less than is often seen with laser procedures. There is little or no discomfort after the procedure, and patients typically return to regular activities within a day. Makeup can be applied 24 hours after the procedure to mask any residual redness.
In addition to offering this revolutionary procedure, Dr. Burkenstock can further enhance the results by adding PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) during the treatment. Platelet-rich plasma is obtained from the client. The client’s PRP contains important growth factors and stem cells that promote cell regeneration and repair. When platelets are infused onto the skin in conjunction with the RF micro-needling procedure, the PRP and the RF micro-needling work synergistically and dramatically improve the texture, quality, and appearance of the skin.
