Our RFN micro-needling laser is an innovative procedure combining micro-needling with radio frequency laser energy that takes skin rejuvenation to the next level! Radio frequency micro-needling tightens skin, decreases creepiness, shrinks enlarged pores, and rids the complexion of discoloration, age spots as well as melasma. Fine lines and wrinkles are diminished. It does a beautiful job of improving upper and lower eyelid droopiness and creepiness.
RF micro-needling adds the element of radio frequency energy to the traditional micro-needling procedure. The RF energy is delivered via tiny gold-plated needles. In addition to the benefits provided by the microneedles, RF micro-needling also delivers radio frequency laser energy deep into the dermis (skin), further enhancing skin tightening and scar reduction. The RF energy heats the underlying skin layers, causing constriction and tightening of the skin, as well as the stimulation of collagen and elastin production. RF micro-needling is appropriate for nearly any skin type and tone. The procedure addresses the following issues:
Most patients will achieve full results with 2-3 treatment sessions, spaced about four weeks apart. The number of treatments will depend on how well the patient responds to the treatment and the severity of the skin issues to be addressed.
RF micro-needling can offer similar results to ablative laser procedures but with significantly less discomfort and downtime. A topical anesthetic is applied prior to treatment to ensure patient comfort throughout the procedure. The treatment usually takes one hour, depending on the size of the area that is being treated.
Skin is typically red for the first day or two after treatment, but the redness is typically mild and much less than is often seen with laser procedures. Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is an advanced, natural treatment for skin rejuvenation offered at Dr. Burkenstock’s Skin-Body-Health. Our skin is naturally comprised of red blood cells along with serum which contains white blood cells and platelets.
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is an extract of your own serum containing 3-5 times more platelets, growth factors, and active proteins. Growth factors in platelets help skin function by increasing collagen and elastin and contributing antioxidant and hydrating properties. All of this helps to promote tissue healing by stimulating cell turnover.
Platelet-Rich Plasma is now being injected into the skin in the same manner as dermal fillers as well as being used topically along with micro-needling. You are an ideal candidate for PRP therapy if you have premature wrinkles, high levels of solar damage, or anyone who wants an even tone and fresher appearance to their skin.
When PRP is placed back into the skin by injection, it initiates a localized stem cell response. Over the weeks and months following treatment, this stem cell response attracts collagen-producing cells called fibroblasts.
